“After completing my Level 3 Sports Coaching course at college, I knew I wasn’t ready to stop learning. I wanted to continue developing my skills and turn my passion for coaching into a career. That’s when I discovered ActiveMe 360 and started my Level 4 Sports Coaching Apprenticeship – a decision that’s shaped not only my future, but also who I am as an Educator.
What drew me to the apprenticeship route was the blend of real-world experience and structured learning. Unlike your normal classroom settings, I got to step into the field and apply what I was learning in real time, all while earning a real living wage and being part of a supportive team from day one. At ActiveMe 360, I never felt like “just an apprentice”, I’ve always felt like a valued member of the full-time team.
One of the biggest advantages of the apprenticeship was the flexibility. I had control over how I used my apprenticeship hours, which helped me make the most of my learning time. Since joining in October 2023, I’ve had the chance to complete a variety of additional training courses, including:
- NPLQ Lifeguarding Qualification
- Multi Skills Level 2
- In-house Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Training
These opportunities have expanded my skillset and have given me the tools I need to use for the rest of my career.
Now, as I wrap up my apprenticeship, I’m excited to be moving into a full-time role as a PE and Sport Educator with ActiveMe 360. This next step feels like a natural progression, built on a foundation of hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth.”
