Getting our communities more active, together.
We are excited to be launching a new community event, Park Kids, at Swanmore Leisure. This free event will take place every Saturday morning, come rain or shine, and provide a fun, positive and inclusive environment to get your community more active, together.
Working with our partners at the Kids Run Free charity, whose global ambassador is Sir Mo Farah, the vision of the programme is to help children become more active through running. This community event is aimed at children and young people of all ages, from toddlers to teens. This vision closely aligns to our mission – to support and enhance peoples physical, mental and social wellbeing using the power of physical activity, sport and education.
We also know the best way to turn the tide on inactivity, and make future generations more active, is for grown ups to join in too. That’s why this event actively encourages the whole family to walk, run or skip together! Park Kids events support whole communities to help each other stay active for life.
Our event is the first in Hampshire, and we want to be the leading event nationally to inspire others to get active.
Want to play a pivotal role in your community getting active?
As a free community event we are actively looking for community champions to volunteer and support the Park Kids event at Swanmore Leisure. As a volunteer you will be an integral part of planning, organising and running the event with us.
Can’t make it every Saturday? Don’t worry, as a volunteer you can commit as much time as you can, every little bit will go a long way!
If you would like to volunteer, or know someone who would (maybe your older son or daughter?), we would love to hear from you.
