The project aims to:

  • Provide high quality national curriculum PE & School Sport.
  • Support school ‘PE, School Sport & Physical Activity’ & ‘Health & Wellbeing’ strategies.
  • Provide an effective & efficient PPA solution to support teachers in their mission to catch children up on missed education.

The project is open to all Primary Schools in Hampshire, who can apply by completing a short application form on the ActiveMe 360 website.

Co-Founder and Director of ActiveMe 360, Joe Taylor, said:

“Operation Active Hampshire is driven by our mission, with our sole aim of using physical activity to improve health and wellbeing of children across Hampshire. We want to make sure that all schools are aware of this funding which removes financial barriers to children taking part in regular, high quality physical activity and education”

“During lockdown almost 1/3 children were classed as in-active. It’s our responsibility to do all we can to reverse the damage done and give children the best chance of having happy, active childhoods.”

PE Leader at Newtown Soberton, Cath Butler, said:

“We have been so impressed with the Operation Active Hampshire lessons delivered by ActiveMe 360. The children are fully engaged in the sessions, which are pitched at just the right stage for their level of ability. They are feeling the benefits of physical activity, both physically and emotionally, which is exactly what was needed following Lockdown restrictions. There are smiles all round during these sessions, which is great to see. As a school, we could not be more thrilled with the impact this is having on our children.”

To ensure the company comply with their obligations as a social enterprise, and to demonstrate their investment into the initiative is used effectively, all schools who would like to join the project will need to complete a short application form via the ActiveMe 360 website: https://www.activeme360.com/operation-active-hampshire-application/
