What to bring to our Holiday Camps

Active Holidays

As you get ready to attend our upcoming Active Holiday Camps, it’s important to know what your child(ren) needs to bring with them, to ensure they’re well prepared for an exciting day of fun and activities!

  • Packed lunch:

A packed lunch and a few healthy snacks to help fuel your child(ren) through the day! Please note that we try to accommodate children with any possible nut allergies and as such, we run a NUTS FREE camp. For those attending our HAF camps, breakfast and a hot lunch will be provided but you’re welcome to send them in with their own lunch and snacks too.

  • Still drink:

It’s important to stay hydrated throughout the day, especially when you’re running around and keeping active! Therefore, we encourage you to bring a still drink, preferably water, in a refillable bottle. There will be regular opportunities throughout the day for children to refill their bottles or have a water break. We kindly ask you to refrain from bringing any fizzy drinks to our camps.

  • Any medication your children may need whilst in our care:

Essential medication for your children must be brought with you and made known to our camp leads on sign in (e.g. EpiPens and inhalers). Our experienced team will be able to collect and store the medication safely and are trained to administer any first aid medical attention as and when needed. We will then return the medication to you at sign out.

  • Change of clothes:

We encourage children to pack a change of clothes just in case they have any unexpected spills, accidents… or too much fun outside! Especially as the weather can be unpredictable, bringing a change in clothes allows us to keep everyone dry and comfortable throughout the day.

  • Sunscreen:

As we head towards hotter weather, we must remind you that it’s crucial to pack sunscreen for your child.! We want to be able to take your child(ren) outside as much as possible whilst keeping them safe in the warmer weather. Please note that all children are required to apply their sunscreen themselves.

  • Technology:

We believe children’s use of technology is positive for their development, health and wellbeing if it is used correctly, in moderation and balanced with a healthy, active lifestyle. Therefore, we encourage all tech to be left at home for the duration of our camps. If any devices are brought by children to our camps, we will not be held accountable for any loss.

Now you’re all set and ready to attend our upcoming Active Holiday camps! Just remember, the above guidance has been created to ensure all children have the best experience possible whilst attending our camps, but most importantly, that they remain safe when doing so.
